Doctor’s Orders: How Israel’s health workers are healing Israeli prejudice

July 19, 2020

One of the best examples of a desirable shared society in Israel is its healthcare system. Jews and Arabs work together daily to save people's lives. In IRAC’s research for our “Heroes of Health” report, we discovered that the successful shared society stems from a realization that the only real enemy is death. This has become more evident during the Covid-19 pandemic as Jewish and Arab health professionals work together to help all Israelis heal. Based on our findings, we plan to take this one step further with the application of the Voluntary Code for Equality and Diversity in the Workplace.
